WELCOME to LOS AMIGOS de LA PEŅITA

Los Amigos de La Peņita (Los Amigos), is a community service organization comprised of residents and members of the local community and exists to serve and advocate for the people of La Peņita, the surrounding Colonias, and the community at large.

The March 30, 2009 meeting of Los Amigos de la Peņita proved to be a great opportunity for the group to celebrate the successes it had achieved over the last year and to approve a budget and action plan for the year ahead.

Benefit Event at Hacienda de La Peņita Delights Guests
Los Amigos de La Peņita held its 2nd Annual Fiesta La Peņita benefit on Sunday, February 8, 2009. The event was hosted by Thomas Bartlett at Hacienda de La Peņita, his internationally acclaimed estate.   more »

Giving the Children of La Peņita a Safe Place to Play

On March 31, Los Amigos representatives attended the official inauguration of the Unidad Recreativa y Deportiva (Sports Recreational Center) at the Eco Park in La Peņita.

Helping the Community Beautify It's Beach

More than 150 people turned up on Saturday, January 24 to help clean the La Peņita beach as part of a beach clean up campaign organized and funded by Los Amigos de La Peņita. A second clean up day was held on March 21.

Public Drop Off Locations for the Plastic Recycling Program

The Recycling Committee of Los Amigos de La Peņita is looking to expand the plastics recycling program to include Guayabitos and Los Ayala in May of this year.      more info
Providing Support to Jaltemba Bay Animal Rescue

At its meeting on January 26, Los Amigos de La Peņita approved a motion to provide a one-time grant of 10,000 pesos to Jaltemba Bay Animal Rescue (JBAR).
